Quick Group says it will run a sea-trial programme for Quick Gyro stabilisers during the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. From 1 to 6 October 2026, the system will be demonstrated aboard the Nimbus Sport Tender 42 used as the company’s demo boat. Sessions are expected to last about 15 to 20 minutes from Dock E, stand YE801A.
It is a technical announcement, but for an owner it is more useful than another premiere render. A gyroscopic stabiliser is bought to change everyday comfort: roll at anchor, guest reaction, crew work and the usability of the boat when conditions are less than perfect. A real sea trial therefore says more than a catalogue conversation.
The Technical Point
Quick describes a range running from X2 to X75, with 12 V DC and AC configurations for applications from dayboats to yachts and superyachts. The company highlights air cooling, which can simplify installation, and multi-gyro layouts for boats that need more than one unit. New algorithms are intended to optimise multiple stabilisers, particularly on multihulls or vessels with limited installation space.
Warranty also matters. Quick is again referring to its programme extending cover from two to four years for eligible models, subject to online registration and periodic service through authorised centres or certified technicians. That belongs in the ownership-cost discussion rather than in the marketing margin.
Before A Refit

A 15-minute Genoa run will not replace engineering work, but it can quickly show whether the comfort promise deserves the next meeting.
