BRABUS enters superyachts with AB Yachts as Maiora brings the M|38 to Monaco

Next Yacht Group has named two headline points for its Monaco Yacht Show 2026 presence: the world debut of the first yacht developed by BRABUS and AB Yachts, and the in-water presentation of the first Maiora M|38. The Port Hercule show runs from 23 to 26 September.

The BRABUS story is the louder market signal. A brand known for automotive performance and smaller marine collaborations is moving with AB Yachts into the superyacht segment. Next Yacht Group frames the project around BRABUS design language and AB Yachts’ experience with fast yachts capable of around 60 knots. Full technical details of the first model have not yet been released.

Maiora M|38 Gives Buyers More Detail

The second item is more measurable. Maiora M|38 is a roughly 37-metre yacht with exterior design by Quartostile, interiors by the Maiora Style Centre and Acube Design, and a quoted 28-knot top speed with traditional propulsion. The layout is arranged for up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, with crew quarters for five and the option to configure up to seven berths.

The yard focuses heavily on the stern: a beach area connected to the cockpit, fold-down bulwarks and a pool with a retractable walkable cover. For a buyer this sounds attractive, but it needs practical checks: drainage, mechanism reliability, service access and privacy when the whole aft deck becomes one large social stage.

After our note on Maiora M|30 at Cannes, the brand’s new product family is becoming clearer. Monaco will show whether the larger M|38 is more than an enlarged version of the same narrative.

What Should Be On The Inspection List?

For the BRABUS-AB Yachts project, buyers should wait for the specification: length, propulsion, real cruising speed, range, classification and service plan. For the Maiora M|38, the questions are already more practical: how the stern works, how much guest space remains at full occupancy and whether 28 knots brings compromises in noise and fuel burn.

An owner-side broker such as W Yachts should treat Monaco as a technical inspection rather than a show moment. The emotion in this pairing of brands is obvious; the value will be in the specification.
