Formula 360 SSC heads for FLIBS as a dayboat trying to behave like a small cruiser

Formula Boats has introduced the 360 Super Sport Crossover, with a public debut expected at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. It is a 36-foot dayboat with an 11-foot, 3-inch beam, but the builder is clearly trying to move beyond the usual “lots of seating and speed” formula.

The 360 SSC combines an open deck with a full windshield and coupe top. Below deck it offers private space with a dedicated double berth, an aircraft-inspired galley and an enclosed stand-up head. In this size bracket, that matters because the border between a premium dayboat and a smallest-weekend-cruiser proposition is becoming increasingly fluid.

The Numbers Show The Ambition

Formula lists the boat at 36 feet overall, with approximate weight around 8.6-8.8 tonnes depending on propulsion, 1,040 litres of fuel, 136 litres of water and roughly 1.19-1.22 metres of draft. The hull uses Formula’s FAS3Tech multi-step design with a 21-degree deadrise.

The engine menu is very American: twin Mercury Verado V12 600s, or triple Verado packages rated at 300, 350, 400 or 425 hp. Joystick control, digital switching, Raymarine Axiom 2 electronics and an optional 7.5 kW generator are part of the wider specification story. For a European buyer, the question is not only performance. It is import, CE documentation, Mercury service coverage, outboard noise and real fuel burn when the boat is fully loaded.

Who Should Pay Attention

The interesting part is the segment rather than the launch itself. More owners want a boat that works as an open waterfront lounge on Saturday and still lets them sleep aboard properly on Sunday. Formula answers that with a more cruiser-like interior than many console boats of similar length.

That makes the 360 SSC a useful counterpoint to European Cannes launches such as the Pirelli 44 Ducati Edition, where emotion and design sit close to practical use. With W Yachts, the buyer’s work is to price the whole route to ownership: specification, freight, VAT and duty, conformity paperwork, European warranty support and resale logic for a boat whose strongest home market remains the United States.
