Ferretti Yachts 720 will be back in front of buyers at two autumn shows: Cannes Yachting Festival from 8 to 13 September and the Genoa International Boat Show from 1 to 6 October. The show appearance matters because the yard is presenting a refreshed version of one of its central flybridge models in the 22-23 metre class.
The official dimensions are 22.5 metres overall and 5.60 metres of beam. The project follows the model’s Düsseldorf debut and involves Ferretti Group’s product committee, engineering department, Filippo Salvetti for the exterior and IdeaeItalia for the interiors. A buyer should look past the styling language and ask what the changes do to daily operation.
The Main-Deck Split Is The Detail To Test
Ferretti points to larger glazing in the saloon and owner’s cabin, a revised gunwale treatment and a new hardtop for more shade on the flybridge. Inside, the most practical change is the clearer separation between dining/living space and the galley/wheelhouse area, using a sliding glass door. That may improve guest privacy, but it also changes crew movement and service between galley, cockpit and saloon.
The lower deck is arranged with four cabins, including owner and VIP suites with private bathrooms. The flybridge covers 41 sq m and has been revised with a new dining area, additional storage and the option of a second pilot seat. At the helm, Ferretti highlights a windscreen without a central pillar, up to four 16-inch displays and new Poltrona Frau pilot seats.
Inspect It With A Technical Checklist
Ferretti’s earlier technical release listed two propulsion options: twin MAN V8 engines rated at 1,200 hp for a stated 28-knot top speed and 24-knot cruise, or twin MAN V12 engines rated at 1,400 hp for a stated 32-knot top speed and 28-knot cruise. The yard describes those figures as preliminary, so show visitors should ask about the weight of the actual specification, stabilisation, fuel burn and noise levels in the owner’s cabin.
At Cannes, the 720 is due to appear alongside Ferretti Yachts 580, 860, 940 and INFYNITO 90.
